Among those character, Simon “GHOST” Riley is a special character with a very scary and worst past in the beginning of his life. Why he wears a mask? Early life of “GHOST”
There is no exact record about the D.O.B of Simon Riley. The early life of Simon Riley was not very easy. According to some sources and calculation, Simon was born at Manchester England in-between the years of 1994 to 1997. He was living with his mom, dad and his elder brother. His father was very abusive and tortured him every time.
His father used to bring furious snakes to home and kiss those furious animals. He also takes Simon to any concert and kills someone and force Simon to laugh at the dead person’s face. His father always paints his own face as a ghost to scare Simon. His brother also used to scare his younger brother by wearing ghost’s mask.
First Mission on British SAS
Later he decided to join the British SAS and was one of the best among the entire SAS team. For this bravery he was sent on a special mission to catch a drug mafia known as Manuel Roba. Manuel was a drug lord in Mexico. During his mission, he was captured and tortured for many days. Manuel used to torture him wearing ghost mask.
One day the drug lord ended it up by living him up inside a grave alive with a dead body of one of his fellow soldier. Manuel ordered his men to burry Simon in such a deep that he would be able to escape, to give him a second chance.
Eventually Simon escaped and went back to Manchester, to his home. There he started dreaming ghost faces and got traumas as the early life of Simon Riley was very bad. He talked to his friends and got to know about the PTSD. He also talked to his mother about seeing ghost faces. From her, he got to know about how his father used to paint his own face as a ghost face before going to a concert. He also gets a flashback of his childhood where his brother used to scare him wearing a ghost’s mask.
Simon Becoming a GHOST
After successfully returning from Mexico and living British SAS, Simon was trying to deal with his PTSD issue. Eventually Manuel, the drug lord of Mexico found Simon alive and sent someone to kill Simon. But that man, instead of killing Simon, killed the entire family. His mother, Father, Brother and brother’s wife and even his nephew Joseph. The killer killed them in a way to show that Simon did this all.
Simon found a clue and came to know that one of his own allay did this all. Simon went after him and killed him. Before returning, Simon blew the house with a blast and left his own dog tag behind to fake his death and cleaned all the evidence of his existence. He became the GHOST from Simon from that moment.
After that, he went after Manuel Roba, the drug lord and killed him.
GHOST Joining T.F 141
The early life of Simon Riley was so bad. Simon lost everything so soon and became the GHOST and decided to join the army again. Mean while Capt. John Price was after a Terrorist leader Victor Zakhaev, who was planning another terrorist attack.
Capt. Price wanted to create a new group of some special soldiers and asked Kate Laswell for help. Laswell got some recommendations from General Shepherd and pull some files off for him, and created a new team and named it as task force 141. During the conversation, Capt. Price was happy to see GHOST’s file, as if he knew him.
During a mission with Task Force 141, he was assigned to rescue children from a hostage situation. There he told his own story in the name of his friend to make the kids calm. Later he eliminated all the terrorists and got the situation in control easily.
Simon the “GHOST”
From the very beginning, there is no single peace full day for Simon. Every day, in every stage of life, he is being tortured mentally and this torture made him silent, stealth and so deadly. During the mission to kill Commander Graves, one of the Shadow army mentioned him as a Demon of the battle ground.
